Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I want to move out of state with minor children. We currently live in Michigan, I would like to move to Ohio to be closer to family. I have no family in Michigan. The place where i want to move is less than 100 miles from mine and my husbands current residents. We were married for less than 3 years before he moved out. We have been living separately for 5 years. There is no current custody order in place. The children have resided with me since he left. We do have a current child support order in place. I have a job lined up and will stay with my parents until I have a place. The children will have their on room. The current visitation schedule is pretty flexible, it is one we have set up, not one established by the courts. He currently sees the children every other weekend. He works second shift so he does not take them the extra night during the week. Sometimes he sees them for a couple of weekends in a row, as long as their are no previous engagements. Can I move before divorce papers are filed?

Do not move and then file for divorce. Hire an experienced family law attorney.
