Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I am recently divorced and have joint legal custody of my two minor daughters. There is a line item in the divorce judgment that states..."Neither party shall have any unrelated person of the opposite sex stay overnight when the minor children are in their care." I am considering asking my current girlfriend to move in with me. Does this judgment prevent me from doing so?

From what you've stated it sounds like it would, yes. Often Judgments of Divorce will have provisions regarding when a party can bring significant others around the child or into their lives. If your Judgment of Divorce has no such provision, you will have to motion the court to amend the Judgment of Divorce. If not, you're just out of luck. I would not advise you to do anything that would put you in violation of the court order.
