Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Retainer Fees

My husband has custody of his two girls. Their mother having supervised visitation every other Saturday due to a substance abuse problem and possession charge. What are typical retainer fees/hourly fees for such a case? We live in Macomb County.

Re: Retainer Fees

Hourly fees can vary from about $150-$300 per hour. Some attorneys take cases on a flat fee basis as well. I'm not clear on what needs to be done at this time. Feel free to call me with more info. and I can probably give you a better idea on what you'd be looking at, although it would only be a ballpark.

Re: Retainer Fees

Without knowing what your husband wants to do legally it is difficult to quote a fee. If you would like to call and discuss the matter, there is no charge for the consult.

I am often in Macomb county circuit court.

Re: Retainer Fees

I don't understand that the issue is or what type of legal assistance you are requesting. The retainer and anticipated fees for family matters vary depending on the issues involved. Depending on what you want, a retainer of $1,000 would likely be required if you retained my services. If you want to email me with more details about why you need to retain a lawyer, then please do so and we can discuss the fees in more detail.

Thanks.
