Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

I was attacked in a bar at the beginning of summer. The woman that attacked me punched me reapeatedly in the head after pinning me to a table (mind you, I am 21 and just over 5 feet tall, this woman was in her mid 30's and considerably larger). According to the officer he couldnt arrest her because no one really saw what happened and no bouncers would give statments. (my face was badly bruised and bleeding) The next day the woman gave a written confession to the officer admitting to what she had done (according to the officer). I was also told by said officer that the case had been dropped after I had asked about it several months later. I never recieved a call from the prosecture saying why it was dropped. Is there any more I can do? I just feel that as a victim I have no rights and if I happen to be standing alone at a bar and get the crap kicked out of me I am out of luck. HELP!

Find a personal injury attorney, do a FOIA for police report and file suit against her. Your problem is she probably will not be collectible. Best of luck
