Misleading foreclosure attorney michigan

does the foreclosing attorney, and/or those in his employe, have any duty to the one being foreclosed, who could not find an attorney, in regards to his options and process when asked specific questions ... should the answers of same, which were depended upon, later be found to be misleading causing harm.

It depends. An attorney who represents the opposing party should not give any advice to the other party. If they gave you wrong advice or misleading advice, you may have grounds to file a grievance against the lawyer. However, you would have to prove that the misleading statements were made, and if they were all verbal, this would be difficult.

During a foreclosure, you are free to retain your own lawyer or discuss the matter with your mortgage company if there is something you don't understand. Therefore, you should not have relied upon information from a lawyer representing the bank trying to foreclose on you - he is not on your side, and you should have known that.
