Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Is it difficult to claim unclaimed property in Michigan? Mom passed, my brother the executor took everything, stepfather passed, his guardian\conservator took everything. Both of their wills named me as beneficiary. I just gave up on fighting them all. But I see they have unclaimed property in the state treasury and it looks like their insurance policies. I just don't want to deal with my family, I have been homeless for years now and none of us even speak to each other. Is it difficult to claim this?

no, it is not difficult. You need to complete the form and submit same back tot he state with identification. Unfortunately, you may have to go through probate court if the lost property is still in their name(s). Please contact me at 586-580-8850 to discuss this in further detail.
