Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Estate Settlement. 3 sibling heirs, simple trust. Brother living in house, sister executor in same town, I am 4 hours drive away. Each got 5,000 cash October 2012, father died June 2012. Estate cash used up paying brothers housing expenses. Now sister wants to sell house at reduced price with all other estate furnishings to brother on balloon land contract. 1/3 of 120k estate less 5k rcvd = 35k for my share. Proposed settlement to me is just over 25k in monthly payments for 6 years beginning at 300/month with no lump sum. I believe sister has personal issues resulting in attempts to short or delay my settlement and is denying me equal consideration as an heir from her position as executor. There is also reason to believe items have been kept from and taken from the estate, some possibly substantial.

If you feel the property is worth more, get an appraisal from a licensed real estate appraiser, then sue to challenge the decisions of the trustee. It could run into substantial costs so be sure that you really want to do this.
