Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

We put our house in a family trust so that our kids wouldn't have probate trouble if we died. Our house insurance lists the owner as --------- family trust. We got a refund check back from the ins. co. in the name of the trust & now we can't cash it. What can we do?

You would likely have to open a trust bank account in order to cash it. Your personal bank accounts should already be in the name of the trust, so that could be easy.
