Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota

''NSF Checks Written''

I recently filed for bankruptcy and had the bankruptcy discharged. I had around $3,000 in checks that were written as a part of the debt in the bankruptcy, as they were not cleared due to NSF. I'm wondering if, even though the checks were discharged in the bankruptcy, I can be prosecuted by the state of MN for writing the checks in the first place. Thank you for your input.

The answer to your question is yes, although in my experience is seldom happens.

Stupid new law requires me to give certain disclosures to "potential assisted person" before doing anything on behalf of "potential assisted person". If you want to consult me about BKY I have to give you the silly disclosures first. Complain to your Congressman. You could also check with your own attorney -- after all, you paid him or her for the service!
