Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

A friend of mine is on probation for 3 years and has got 3 traffic tickets while on probation but didn't tell the probation officer. Would my friend get a probation violation if the probation officer found out about those tickets?

The pal should read the terms of his/her probation as a starting point. A good rule of thumb is: When in doubt, inform one's PO.

I agree with Ms. Dwyer. In my opinion, the conditions of probation should be reviewed and your friend should disclose any potential violations to the PO, but consult with an attorney before doing so. If the traffic violations are minor (e.g.speeding (0-10 over limit), crossing a double yellow line, rolling stop etc.) there probably won't be an issue. Withholding the info could make a mountain out of a mole hill.
