Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

I violated probation on a misdemeanor theft with a misdemeanor assault (which is token care of). I am homeless but I have a mailing address the county sent me a letter saying I have a warrant for missing court, but my mailing address never received any notice for a court date. I am going to turn myself in I want to know what the consequence is?

Impossible to say. Some counties you might be in and out, while in other counties the court might want to give you a 30 day sentence. Make sure you have a good lawyer with you before you do anything.

I am afraid that much more would be needed to assess the situation. However, you would be wise to have counsel. Often, the matter can be placed back on the court calendar and the warrant stayed pending that hearing.
