Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

My 20 year old son got his 18 year old girlfriend pregnant. There have been some issues with the 2 of them in the past. He has a misdemeanor domestic abuse charge on his record from a fight they had in September where she slapped him and he pushed her. She fell down the stairs and broke her collarbone. We moved her back to her parents and after a month she moved back with us. She went to NC for a funeral on Thanksgiving and has not come back. She has now served my son who lives in Minnesota with an order for protection from the September incident. She has been calling him and texting him and has even created fake facebook accounts to talk to him. But on the order she stated all of that against him. what should he do and how is this all going to affect him seeing his child in the future. I know he would be a great dad and wants to be involved. I think that she thinks this is like playing house and can't imagine how she could possibly raise the baby without help. She has threatened to put restraining orders on her parents etc. I think it may be some sort of pattern. It seems as though if she does not get her way she does these things then when things don't go her way at the other place then she wants back. She has been using the baby as a pawn for a few months and the baby is not born. I can't imagine what will happen afterwards. Does my son have any rights and is there anything he can do?

Yes, of course your son has rights as a parent, pursuant to law, which are for him to exercise. I urge your son to confer privately with an experienced attorney at this time. It is not prudent for you to be posting such details on a public website.
