Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

What all can child protection do if my son only missed too many days of school last year? Only one of my children were in school at the time and the case is open on all of them and they have me jumping through hoop after hoop. last winter I was a single mom, pregnant with a high risk pregnancy, in the middle of winter, and my 7 yr olds bus came at 6:14 am!!! So yes, some days he missed his bus and not having a vehicle to take him, he would be stuck at home. Now they are raising an issue that my live-in boyfriend is a registered sex offender because of something he did over 15 yrs ago when he was young. What exactly can they do and do I have a voice to make this nonsense stop???
