Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I have two kids that I still pay support for. Girl 12 & Boy 16. The boy wants to come and live with me.

My question: If when he decides to tell his mom this, how will this affect my child support and medical obligation for them? Will child support be dropped since I will assume all responsibilities and cost for him. And then, will she will be obligated to pay for half of insurance?

Minnesota provides guidelines for child support (note: 'guidelines', not rigid, 'set in stone', dollar figures). I suggest you go online to the calculator located at the MN DHS website. I also urge you to confer privately with an experienced attorney at this time so she may advise you in detail: Your attorney will want to review the existing court order.
