Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Parental Rights when a minor child becomes pregnant?

My 15 year old daughter is pregnant. We (my daughter and I ) do not believe in abortion. The Babay's father is also 15. My Ex wants to go to the police to have the boyfriend arrested. He also wants a lawyer to get a judge to force her to have an abortion. He has not been involved with the kids on any regular basis their whole lives. Is he able to do either of the above succesfully? We live a very quiet life and do not need his drama. My daughter wants nothing to do with him.

Re: Parental Rights when a minor child becomes pregnant?

Even at 15, she cannot be required to have an abortion. Moreover, if both teens are the same age and the intercourse was consentual, there is no criminal charge that may result in an arrest.
