Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I have received a letter from my ex-boyfriend's lawyer regarding our previous order of judgement on parenting time regarding me not following the judgement. My question is should I write a letter back, as I was to respond within seven days, in a civil manner or will that possibly hurt me if we have to go back to court? I ask because I cease to have a lawyer at this time.
