Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I had signed my rights over to my son 10 years ago and my mom and step dad adopted him. Now they are getting divorced and I have 3 other children that I would like my son to grow up with I have had contact with him over the course of the years and now I am financially stable and am engaged to be married. I live in Montana and my son is in Minnesota. The reason I would like to have custody back is because I am his biological mom and my mom is in her mid to late 50's and my step dad has cancer. I feel that emotionally it would be better for my son to come live with me so he does not have to go through a divorce. I went through the divorce when my mom and biological father got divorced and it was emotionally and mentally traumatizing. Please help me to find the appropriate way to deal with this because I do not want my son to go through what I went through. I live in Montana but my son and my mom live in Minnesota.

I am afraid that there is no simple way to undo what has been done. it would require an agreement of all parties. Your mom and step father would have to agree to terminate their rights and you would have to adopt. If there is mo agreement, there would not appear to be a basis change custody based on the brief post.
