Tax exemptions

What recourse does an exspouse have against their former spouse who hasn't complied with something spelled out in a divorce decree? Like tax exemptions etc? Who claims the kids, custodial or non-custodial parent?

Re: Tax exemptions

They may file a Motion for contempt and to seek compliance with the court order. A court may require a parent who claims the children in contravention of a court order to file an amended return. Legal fees may also be awarded.
