Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I will apply for my state retirement funds, was told by MN State Retirement I have to give my husband 50% of my funds. I have not consummated nor seen him in nearly 40 years. This MN law is not fair and I think it should be changed. How can I solve/ alleviate this problem?

I have no idea what your personal situation is, & your post lacks any facts leading to a '.......you must give Husband X percent.........' conclusion!
