Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Minnesota

Over payment

I receive occasional royalties on a

patent from a University I used to

work at. I now received a payment

for substantially more money than is

typical, and I am not sure I am

entitled to this payment, or if it was a

mistake. Am I obligated to contact

them, clarify and return if I am not

entitled to the money? Or, can I just

cash the check and keep the money.
