Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota

employment law/ Minnesota

My husband and I own a resturant. Can our 16 year old son wait on tables? He is on our payroll already as a cook. I believe in Minnesota you need to be 18years old to wait on tables if you serve beer & wine, but does the law apply to the owners and their children?
