Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Minnesota

Who are the heirs?

Decedent passed away as an only child, parents are no longer living, no living aunts or uncles. There where a total of 4 cousins of which 3 are still living and one past away several years earlier. The deceased cousin has kids. Are the deceased cousins kids in line for any inheritance or is it just the living cousins?

Re: Who are the heirs?

Take a peek at Minnesota Statutes Section 524.2-103. You can probably find it by just typing that number into google.

It appears that the deceased cousins kids get a share.
