Legal Question in Administrative Law in Mississippi

Can he make me homeless? What are my rights in this case?

After being terminated from my job in another state, my so-called friend allowed me to move in with him into his apartment here in Mississippi until I could get myself back on my feet. I was not added to the lease. Now, that I have arrived, and all my personal effects have been placed in his apartment, he wants me to vacate the premises within a week. I have not yet gotten a job and I would be left homeless. What are my rights, if any? Am I doomed to become homeless?

Re: Can he make me homeless? What are my rights in this case?

You have all right to your property and whatever contractual rights that may have arisen in any agreement that induced you to move into his apartment. If you were fraudulently induced to travel to Miss., you may also have a claim for damages. As to homelessness, ask the nearest Miss. Unemployment Office for help.
