Illegal turn U turn
I received a ticket for a u-turn tho I did not make a u turn I made a left turn into the post office parking area in Columbia MS. I have done this dozens of times and have seen others do it dozens of times. The U turn sign is at least half a block away at the stop light. I would like to know if this is considered a moving violation as I already have one on my record and do not need another. Also is this is a ticket I can beat.

It is a moving violation. Usually "no left turn" signs are posted next to the place where a person would be tempted to make a left turn. Check to see if the sign is illegal for the place where you turned. The officer's word will be given great weight by the court about whether you were making a left or u-turn and where the alleged offense occurred. Your proof will require admissions from him or her and/or testimony of independent witnesses.
