Being on parole does not affect your right to appeal a conviction. Under some circumstances, you might forfeit your right to appeal by fleeing while on parole or committing some other severe violation of the terms of your parole.

But being on parole does not automatically give you the right to appeal, either. You may have forfeited that right as part of a plea agreement. You also may already have missed the deadline by which an appeal had to begin, or might have waived your appellate rights in some other manner.

You should speak to a lawyer licensed to practice in Missouri (there are probably many of them living in Illinois) about your situation.

Good luck.
