Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri

My mother in law left her car loan in her name and gave me the car with the verbal agreement for me to pay the loan, which I have been, now she wants the car back because she is mad at me. Do I have any rights?

Depending upon the agreement, you may be able to continue the arrangement as it is, or have her reimburse you for the payments and repairs you've made. Once you give the car back, your options are more limited. If you can't prove the verbal agreement, you may not have any right to keep or use the vehicle. Perhaps you should consult directly with a civil practice attorney, in your area, to advise you as to your options. Take whatever paperwork you have with you to the appointment.

Good luck
