Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I am 20 days late with my truck payment. I have talked to fireside bank at the first of month and every day since that and told them that I could make a partial payment on the 26 and the rest next week. I tried to make a payment today and was told that they could not accept it unless it was 90% of payment. They then treatened to come and get truck. I am only 20 days late! I am trying to work with them but they are not wanting to work with me. Is there anything that I can do? I live in missouri. The bank is in CA.

Send the check to them for whatever amount you can afford and cure the late payment as quickly as you can. It would be rare to see a bank repossess after only 20 days. If they do not accept the check (whcih, of course, they will, because some money is better than no money) then when you have the full amount send them that. Keep your vehicle in the garage. If they do send someone to repossess the vehicle, they can't get it inside your garage. But keep in mind that they can follow you and repo it off the street or in a public garage. Good luck.
