Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

What is the law in Missouri regarding supplying someone with an illegal prescription drug and death results from them taking that drug? The only thing I've found is this case, http://media.ca8.uscourts.gov/opndir/10/03/083678P.pdf

My son's case is being investigated after 3 years because of the circumstances surrounding his death. Apparently when he overdosed the dealer was present and made a choice to not help him when he stopped breathing. She chose his death so she wouldn't get in trouble for supplying the drug and letting him die, she waiting 45 minutes then called someone to remove his body so he wasnt traced back to her. Originally the police told me it wasn't against the law to let someone die but now through the investigation I'm told it is. It's hard having all these raw emotions reopened but I need to know if there really can be charges brought against her after 3 years and what those charges possibly could be. Thanks in advance.
