Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

A search warrant was executed 17 days ago. They found nothing, but in the newspaper stated more charges are likely. How many days do the police have to find something or come up with something?

There are statutes of limitations applicable to most criminal prosecutions. If charges are not filed within the time allowed by law, the charges should be dismissed upon proper Motion by defense counsel. We're talking years, not days! You need to hire an attorney NOW. You will be glad you did. I can give you a free telephone consultation, and I have 38 years of experience.
