Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I just had a baby six weeks ago. The father and I are not together. I never got served with papers but received a notice of hearing from his attorney in the mail. In the bottom corner there is a proof if service stating I got served three days prior to receiving the letter. Again, I never got served and the clerk at the courthouse said the judge stated on the letter was not even appointed the case and wasn't in his docket. Anyone know what's going on and if this is legal?

Obviously you need to consult with an attorney and have the attorney review whatever it is that you are referring to in your question. If you are not married to the baby's father, then you need to obtain a Determination of Paternity and a child support order.
