child support warrant

my husband is currently incarcerated in a federal prison. He will be eligible for an early relaese next year, however he has an outstanding child support which will hold up his release. My question is can we can the warrant removed and a new court date issued while he is till in custody.

Do you mean to say that there is a pending felony charge in state court for non-support? If so, then your husband may very well be transferred into state, or county, custody upon his release from prison subject to the possibility of posting bond on the stae charge. Sometimes it is possible for an attorney to enter his or her appearance in the state case and file a Motion to Reduce Bond. In many cases it is possible for the attorney to assist with the bonding out of a defendant in custody very early in the proceedings. In any event, you would need tohire the attorney before anything would be done. Good luck.
