Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I am going through a custody battle for my youngest son. The fathers mother has threatened to bring the cops to my home and "watch them rip him from my arms". This has me worried that if I allow visits before custody has been established I will not get him back. I have filed for custody already and have received his response. The father has told me that in the county in witch I filed, jasper county Missouri, because I am the petitioner, I am granted custody until it is further determined in court, and he is allotted visits from 9am to 6pm (because my son is under the age of 2 years) on any given day. I wanting to know if this is true before I allow him these visits.

Visitation will begin after the initial Court hearing on the custody and support petition. These are issues to discuss with the attorney representing you in the case.

Good luck
