Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My daughters dad is taking me to court for joint custody. I can't afford all the costs. Is there anyway to get him to have to pay all the court and lawyer fees since he's taking me to court?

There is absolutely no guarantee, but you can certainly ask the Judge to Order your daugter's Dad to pay or contribute to your attorney's fees and costs. If you have been to Court previously your existing Judgment might have some provisions concerning the awarding of attorney's fees. Otherwise, in a domestic relations or family court Motion to Modify the Judge has discretion to award fees or not.
