Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

The father of my 11 year old child has never seen his son - his name is not on the birth certificate, but my child DOES have his last name and he DOES pay child support. My husband would like to legally adopt my son, but I have no way to notify his biological father of the intent to adopt since I have not heard from him in years. Help in MISSOURI?!?!!?
