Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Had joint/ joint custody in Missouri and i suppose my ex filed a motion for modification of child custody because now my ex has sole custody however I was never served any papers or told about any court date or that anything was going on. My ex and I saw each other every week as well as his mother and so it's not like they didn't know how to get ahold of me or where I was.
