The Court will require that you take reasonable measures to locate yrou husband. You may have to hire search firm to try and locate him. If you cannot, then you may be able to serve him by publication or some other substituted service method. If you have been aprt for two years, it is unlikely that you will become direclty liable for his student debts. But, he may be able to encumber marital assets with his debts. Your wages and salary may be maritla assets, once they are deposited into the bank.

You should find someone to locate your husband. It is very dificutl to hide in this day of the Internet and digital records. You may be able to hire an atorney tio search for your husband. As they are doing it in anticipation of litigation (the divorce) they may be able access records that others may not.

Good luck
