Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Petition for Finalization

I have been under court orders for arrearages in Platte County. I have paid the amount of the arrearage as indicated by the court. I have successfully completed the terms of my probation. I need the correct forms and procedure to petition the court to issue an order. In the petition and order I need the court to close the case, purge the conviction from my record, issue letters of finalization to the major credit bureaus Can I mail the petition to the court and not present myself in person. It's a long way to go from here.

Re: Petition for Finalization

I cannot provide you with forms or advise you on procedure without committing a violation of the ethics regulations which govern attorneys. The forms you ask about are not generally available, so I don't know if you can find them in your county library or over the internet. Generally, if your petition is complete and accompanied by an affidavit, most judges will sign your order without you being present. But, some judges want to see you in their court room.
