If a judgment is for an obligation for one person to pay money to another, it must be renewed every few years, if the victor wishes to college t through the Courts. A judgment lien goes with the land, and might conceivably last a century or more. A judgment declaring the status of one petson, or the rights between two or more parties might never have expire. If you still have questions, you should consult directly with a civil practice attorney in your area.

Good luck
