Is blackballing from a hotel chain illegal and actionable? What type of attorney would I consult with about a lawsuit?

A hotel is a public accomodation. They are not allowed to treat customers disparately based upon race, religion, origin of birth, gender, However, refusing to do future business with someone that had a bad experince in the past, may not be unlawful or illegal. You did not indicate the facts of the blackballing you mentioned. You should consult directly with a civil practice attorney, in your area, to see if your facts could support a suit for damages.
