Re: emancipation

If your mother truly mentally abuses you, then you probably need to get out and control your own destiny more. First, see if you can live with your Dad. If that is not possible (and you should really try before fgoing to the next step) then Secondly, all DFS to report the abuse. They can help you get out and find other living arrangments.

I assume that you are in high school. If not, perhaps your mother isn't your biggest problem. If you are in school, DFS can help you find a better enviornment for you to continue your studies and maturation.

Remember, and this is the tough part, you are only sixteeen. your view of the world, yourself, and those around you, is rarely objectively accurate. Teh solution to your problems will not be fixed quickly, and frustration is inevitable. Running away, is almost never the right answer.perhaps only one in fifty million runaways have made the right choice. So, if you have not already won the lottery two times, you are not the one for whom running away is the right choice.

Once you go to live with your father (or grandparents)or have gotten DFS involved, your will have access to a lot of help from alot of adults and other teens to help you and your family past this stage of your life.

Good Luck, Let me know if I can help.
