Yes, you have rights under the new bill passed by Pres. Obama. Previously, tenants were being evicted even though they had valid leases in effect and were current in their payments.Under the new foreclosure law, tenants have the right to remain in their residences, as long as they are paying rent, through the remainder of their term. This applies if they have a lease. Without a lease, tenants can still stay 90 days after foreclosure, if they are current on their rent. This does not apply if the bank sells the residence to an owner who will reside in the house. If you need someone to negotiate with the bank on your behalf, feel free to contact me for more information.
