Does my landlord have the right to call and harass people I have put on my references for Unpaid past due rent that I owe?

The definition of Harass is different to different people. You gave the landlord permission to contact those people regarding your credit worthiness, and your business practices. Those people you listed as references may not have consented to being contacted by the landlord. Each of those people may file a Request for a Restraining Order, if the landlord threatened them. If the Landlord revealed private identifying information, you may have a claim against the landlord. If the person that contacted the references was not the landlord, but some other person collecting for the landlord, you have strong claims regarding the impropriety in collecting that alleged debt.

Obviously, paying the amount you owe, will be a string support to any case you choose to bring, or a defense to any brought by the landlord.
