Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri

Landlord's Rights

Tenant refuses to pay rent, at least 4 months. Landlord filed eviction notice through legal route-cost $750.00. Tenant appealed; wants jury trial. Tenant still refusing to pay rent. Landlord forced to put homes (5) up for sale to get out of bind. Homes aren't selling. Tenant hopes home (one he lives in) goes through foreclosure so he can buy it.

Landlord maxed out on his credit. Will loose houses if something doesn't break this month.

Re: Landlord's Rights

It is unclear whether you are asking any question. Are you just venting about your situation or are you asking for advice? I am assuming you attempted to evict the tenant in question without an attorney. The tenant has apparently consulted with an attorney who is making the eviction very dificult for you.

There may be a means for you to achieve your objective of evicting the non-paying tenant before the house is foreclosed upon. But, you have not supplied sufficient facts to determine if they are plausable.

Good Luck
