If I build a structure on a lot that i rental, does the structure become the property of the land owner?

Absent something contrary in the rental agreement, permanent structures go with the land, so they become property of the landowner. If what you built isn't secured to the ground, such as with a poured foundation, you might be able to take it with you when the less ends.
