Hopefully, you are not just relying upon the rating that the employer's doctor gave. It will be artifically low. If you find a pro-patient rating doctor, his rating may be too high. The WC Hearing Judge will likely pick a figure in between. Therefore, you will likely settle somewhere in between. If this is news to you, perhaps you should consider hiring counsel to represent you in resolving your WC claim. You may get more in compensation.

Good luck

There is no doubt that you should hire an attorney to represent you. Your "lost wages" are not relevant. You must get a rating from a doctor chosen by your attorney to be sure that you get a fair settlement or recovery after trial. I advise people that they will receive more money in compensation even after paying an attorney 25% of the final recovery than they would get if they handled the case on their own. I know one of the very best worker's compensation attorneys in the State of Missouri and I would be happy to give you his contact information. There will be no charge for the referral or for an initial consultation to determine whether you want to hire the attorney. Please feel free to contact me.
