Hi. I am a Missouri workers' compensation attorney that handles claims in all parts of the state.

In order to provide an accurate answer to your question, a few additional details are needed. In many instances, if the injury that you are seeking therapy for is a work-related injury, yes, you have a legal right under the Missouri workers' compensation law to receive payment for time missed due to treatment. However, there are many ways that this right can be forfeited. A few details are needed to know if you have the right to receive compensation at this point. First, has a workers' compensation claim been filed? Most people have a workers' compensation attorney assist with work injury claims, because the process is complex and can be very confusing. Second, are you receiving the therapy at a place that your employer recommended, or did you choose your own place to receive therapy? Third, is your employer paying for all the cost of therapy?

Also, you should know that, under the Missouri laws, you are entitled to three types of benefits: 1) payment of all bills for all treatment related to the injury, 2) payment for time missed from work for treatment, 3) a lump sum settlement amount. Please note that, for some injuries, the lump sum settlement can be in excess of $20,000 or $30,000, depending on the type of injury.

To answer your question accurately, I need to know a few more details.
