pregnant 16 yr.old

can a pregnant 16 yr. old legally move out on her own without parental permission?

If she's in WA, the answer would be no. Then, she has status as a parent even though she's a minor to make decisions for her child just like any other parent.

Puts her parents in an odd position, I know.

Pregnant 16 year olds are going to need all the help they can get. Emancipation is possible if the 16 year old is mature and capable of taking care of herself, but the fact that she's pregnant suggests otherwise.

The problem with moving out is that CPS could decide that the 16 year old needs to be in foster care, and undoubtably her child needs to be in foster care because the 16 year old is being irresponsible.

If you are in MT, they may approach it differently. I'm not licensed there.
