Since you don't have any governing documents, the default provisions of the California LLC statutes apply. There is nothing therein, however, which would prevent you from executing a resignation and release document with the remaining member. Provided that the remaining managing member is amenable to this action - you should contact an attorney to draft up a simple mutual release of claims that will protect all parties involved.

No. However, you could try to get the remaining members to enter into a 'hold harmless' agreement as part of the resignation process. I wouldn't suggest you try to play this game without legal counsel and proper documentation if you think there is even the slightest risk of some legal claim against you in future. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so.

By definition, an LLC is formed by filing Articles with the state, and must have an Operating Agreement. Without them, it wasn't properly formed. You need to find out the truth.

Since your LLC was purportedly formed in Nevada, you need locate counsel who knows/understands Nevada corporate law.

Also, the nature, as well as the scope of liability you seek to avoid is unclear. Are you talking about liability to the other remaining member? Personal liability to third parties resulting from the operations of the entity? Liability for taxes? These are all things you'll need to discuss with counsel.
