You need to dispute it on all your credit reports. Get a credit report from all three bureaus, dispute each inaccurate entry or entry you disagree with many or most, sometimes all of them are wrong. You need to ask the credit bureaus to verify it. If they can't verify any entry - and they many not be able to verify many of them, especially after you write a letter asking to have it verified a few times every few months. After you dispute it, and ask to have it verified, sometimes a few times over the course of a year or months. They should drop off. If they continue to report inaccurately, after you dispute and ask for verification of the debt or negative entry, and you keep records of your repeated tries to get the credit bureaus to comply with the law and they still don't, you sue them and maybe the creditors for each violation of the law and you could get attorney's fees and damages. The credit bureaus are in step with the banks. They are just crooks with big businesses. Google me.
