Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

I need answers to questions about parental kidnapping

My wife left me friday night while i was at work. We have a beautiful 7 year old daughter together. I came home from work in the morning hour to an empty home and a note explaining her reasons for leaving. We live in Las Vegas and she has taken my daughter to Kansas without my consent. DO i have rights and if so what are they? I have done research online and found several issues pertaining to child custody cases but nothing that seems to fit my situation. Thank you for your help.

I would file a complaint for divorce and emergency motion for the immediate return of your daughter. You don't want to let any significant time pass before doing this.

You do have rights. First, Nevada is the only jurisdiction that can properly enter child custody orders unless she is claiming domestic violence, then Kansas can act under Emergency Jurisdiction. When it is litigated in Clark County, then the Court would just do the regular best interests standard and you have a 50-50 chance for custody unless there are things that favor one side, ie. stay at home mom, domestic violence, abuse of drugs or alcohol, etc.
